Teaching program:
Dr. West teaches Field and Forage Crops (PS 435, 3 credits, spring semester). The course is a study of field crop production with discussions of cropping systems, crop fertilization, pest management, and crop use.
Dr. West taught Quantitative Genetics (1981-1998) and currently teaches Organismal Plant Genetics (PS 551, 3 credits, fall, even years). The topics include quantitative inheritance in plants, genetic variance, relationships between relatives, and selection methods.
