Tennessee Pledge Scholarship
This is a first of its kind program that began academic year fall 2005. The Tennessee Pledge Scholarship is a need-based scholarship offered to students with a family adjusted gross income of up to 150% of the poverty level or $27,000. The scholarship, when combined with other federal, state, and institutional aid, will cover a student's mandatory costs - tuition, fees, and room and board, as determined by UT - without the use of student loans. Students must be Tennessee residents, admitted as first-time, first-year entering freshman by Feb. 1 prior to enrollment. Students the Free Application for Federal Student Aid by March 1 prior to enrollment (no scholarship application required).
