Teaching program: Courses offered 280 FUNDAMENTALS OF LANDSCAPE DESIGN (3) History of landscape design as it relates to contemporary application. Development of awareness and sensitivity to the landscape. Development of basic graphic skills and design theory with an emphasis on residential landscape planning design. Prerequisites: OHLD 110, 220 or permission of instructor in special cases. 1 Hr. and 2 labs. Mr. Rogers (fall and spring). 380 SUPPLEMENTAL LANDSCAPE DESIGN GRAPHICS (2) Refinement of graphic skills. Sketches, elevations, sections, isometric projections, and perspectives. Additional emphasis on lettering, plan graphics, color rendering,and other visual presentation media. Prerequisite: OHLD 280. 2, 2-hr labs, Mr. Rogers (fall). 480 ADVANCED LANDSCAPE DESIGN (4) Comprehensive application of landscape design skills. Design applications involving site layout, landscape grading, applied landscape construction, and additional emphasis on planting design. Analysis, programming, design, detailing, estimating, and specifying applicable to a variety of landscape projects. Prerequisites: OHLD 280, 350, and 380. 1 hr. and 2 3-hr. labs, Mr. Rogers (spring).
