Message posted February 1, 2005. Adobe Photoshop Elements has been placed on the six computers available for your use in PSB 129 and 229. This software, much less expensive than the full-blown Photoshop, does almost everything you will need for this course. It was developed to work with photographs, and delivers the core image-editing tools needed by most nonprofessional photographers. Latest version 3.0 sells for $69 at the UT Computer Store (version 2.0 currently going for $21 used at amazon.com). Please feel free to try it out in the computer labs.

Message posted January 28, 2005. 30 min. personal consultation sessions: Three Thursdays this semester, instead of class, students will meet with Auge' for a half hour that week on Wed, Thurs or Fri for a Photoshop session in PSB 258. The weeks that this will happen will be announced (they are not scheduled yet). Individual student appointment times.

January 25, 27; Feb 22, 24: Class will meet on the two January afternoons in Humanities 202 (computer lab), to work on the first two Photoshop assignments. Auge will be in the HS 202 lab on the afternoons of Feb 22 and Feb 24 to answer questions: attendance optional (like a help session).
