Mueller

Tom Mueller Dr. Mueller received his Ph.D. in 1990 from the University of Georgia, his M.S. in 1987 from the University of Kentucky, and his B.S. in 1983 from the University of Illinois. His emphasis in his program of study was Agronomy at Illinois and weed science at Kentucky and Georgia. He grew up on a small grain farm in rural Illinois, where his family farm produced corn, soybeans, and wheat. Through several experiences in the private sector, he came to understand the pragmatic aspects of agronomic productions systems. He joined the University of Tennessee in April, 1991 as an assistant professor, was promoted to associate professor in 1996 and to professor in 2003.

Obtain a weed science graduate degree in my program

Dr. Mueller's research program emphasizes field and laboratory aspects of weed science. Dr. Mueller is active in professional societies, including the Southern Weed Science Society (Executive Board, Secretary-Treasurer, Newsletter Editor) and the Weed Science Society of America (Publications board, Associate Editor for Weed Technology), the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants, the American Chemical Society (Agrochemicals division), CAST, and others.
