Dr. Gary McDaniel

Professor: B.S. in Horticulture (1967) and Ph.D. in Horticulture/Plant Pathology (1971) from Iowa State University. Employed as an Extension Specialist in Environmental Horticulture at Kansas State University (1971-1973). In August 1973, Gary joined the faculty of the Department of Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design, which had been formed two years earlier. The department was reorganized and renamed Plant Sciences effective July 1, 2003. In addition to course teaching and research responsibilities, Gary served as the departmental Undergraduate Program Coordinator for several years. Gary retired from the university August 31, 2006.
