mannDave G. J. Mann

Post-doctoral Research Associate

dmann1@utk.edu

Education:
B.S., Biology, Bryan College, Dayton, TN 2002
Ph.D., Microbiology, University of Tennessee, Knoxville 2003

Research Interests:
David Mann is currently working on vector construction for gene overexpression analysis in Panicum virgatum (switchgrass).  Expression of transgenes in switchgrass may potentially lead to more desirable transgenic switchgrass crops in the near future.

David Mann was born in Abbotsford, B.C., Canada, grew up in Oregon, and currently resides in South Knoxville, TN.  In his free time, Dave enjoys camping, hiking, reading, spending time with his family, and playing music.
