We are very pleased to announce that Dr. Chris Main has accepted our offer for the Cotton and Small Grains Production Specialist position. Chris will be located at the West Tennessee Research and Education Center in Jackson, and he will begin work on October 1, 2006. Chris is currently the Extension Weed Scientist at Clemson University. He is located at the Pee Dee Research and Education Center at Florence, SC.

In his new role, Chris will have a 75 percent Extension, 25 percent research, joint appointment as an Assistant Professor in the department. He will be in charge of the statewide educational programs for cotton and small grains production. He will also conduct applied production research in those crops.
