Klingeman

Bill Klingeman Dr. Klingeman received his Ph.D in Entomology in 1998 from The University of Georgia, his M.S. in 1995 in Entomology from North Carolina State University, and his Bachelor's of Science in 1991 from Hanover University with a major in Biology. He joined the faculty of The University of Tennessee in 1999.

Dr. Klingeman's main research interests include:

  • Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for common and emerging nursery pests
  • Efficient and accelerated ornamental plant production
  • Consumer preference and perception of ornamental plant products
  • Ornamental plant evaluations and host plant resistance to pests and diseases
  • Weed/insect interactions
Bill currently teaches Nursery Management and Production, and Turfgrass Entomology.
