Heather received a masters degree with a plant physiology focus, working with Dr. Carl Sams. Her thesis involved selenium's influence on glucosinolate production in Brassica spp. Heather was hired just after graduating as a research associate in the department, in the field of environmental plant physiology. Ken Cho, Plant Medicine doctoral candidate
Ken received his master degree working with Dr. Robert Augé, in the area of mycorrhzial symbiosis and plant physiology. His thesis involved the protective effects of this symbiosis on plants exposed to drought and salinity stress. He was co-author of three papers by the time he graduated. He then entered the nation's first doctoral program of plant medicine (Univ. of Florida).
