Cherie Cordell

B.S. - Ornamental Horticulture & Landscape Design, 1999

Area of emphasis: Landscape Design

I graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1997 with a bachelor of science in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design. While attending UT, I was able to get a very hands-on education through my course work. Some of my course work included plant identification, landscape construction, materials and fabrication, and soil science. I constantly use the knowledge I gained from my course work at UT in my current position as a biological science technician in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Some of my current duties include plant restoration, plant rescue, exotic plant and insect management, native plant seed harvest and production.
