Adobe Photoshop Assignment - Odds and Ends

14. Sharpen

In the Filters Pallette, Photoshop allows you to sharpen images or parts of images, sharpen edges, and sharpen more. For this exercise, choose the one that results in the nicest revision to your image.

  1. In the Filter Pallette, select Sharpen from the drop-down menu, then select Sharpen again from the top of the second drop-down menu. Alt+T+S+rightarrow

  2. Hit Edit Undo and Edit Redo a couple of times to see the effect of the sharpening filter. Note that there are some other sharpening choices: sharpen edges, sharpen more.

  3. Click to assignment_photoshop.psd; have original image at top, as explained in curves assignment

  4. Hit Ctrl+V to paste the image into assignment_photoshop.psd

  5. Use the Move Tool to position the layer you just created at the bottom of the image

  6. File Save for Web (Alt+Shft+Ctrl+S) as assignment_photoshop_sharpen.jpg

  7. FTP assignment_photoshop_sharpen.jpg to the photoshop_assignment subfolder in your images folder on your Web server (example of finished sharpen assignment file)

  8. Proceed to color
