16. Flip Image Horizontally

This simple exercise explains how to rotate or "flip" an image. You will asked to flip your image horizontally. Adobe allows rotation of images 180 degrees, 90 degrees clockwise (CW) or counter-clockwise (CCW), or an arbitrary amount specified by you. You can flip images horizontally or vertically.

You can rotate the whole canvas (all layers at once): Image > Rotate Canvas, or an individual layer: Edit > Transform. Note that Edit > Transform allows you to do some other things, as well.

1. On the horizontal bar at top of Photoshop, click Image > Rotate Canvas > Flip Canvas Horizontal (Alt I + E + Flip Canvas Horizontal)
   
   
2. As for the prior four exercises, align the original image at the top of assignment_photoshop.psd, and copy the altered image to the bottom
   
   
3. File Save for Web (Alt+Shft+Ctrl+S) as assignment_photoshop_flip.jpg
   
   
4. FTP assignment_photoshop_flip.jpg to the photoshop_assignment subfolder in your images folder on your Web server (example of finished color assignment file)
   
   
5. Proceed to smooth
