Adobe Photoshop Assignment - Odds and Ends

1.
Take some photos with a digital camera, download to computer and save to disk.

2.
Start Adobe Photoshop and open an image file. (Alt F-O)
     File
     Open
     Click on filename

3.
Crop image using marquee tool in Tools Pallette:
     Drag cursor to highlight an area with pulsing dotted line;
     Let mouse up; pulsing dotted line remains; (Alt I-P)
     Image
     Crop

4.
Resize image to width of 250 pixels: (Alt I-I-W)
     Image
     Image size
     Width
       (make sure Constrain Proportions box is clicked;
       also try resizing with box unclicked)

5.
Crop image again, to height of 140 pixels:
     Set Marquee Tool Style to Fixed
     Set width to 250 px
     Set height to 140 px
     Click onto image; dotted line highlights area of 250 x 140
     Image
     Crop

6.
Save the image: (Alt F-N)
     File
     Save, as an Adobe Photoshop file: imagename.psd

7.
Create a new image: (Alt F-S)
     File
     New
     Set width to 250 pixels
     Set height to 300 height
     Set resolution to 72 pixels/inch
     Set mode to RGB Color
     Set contents to white

Save new image as assignment_photoshop.psd   >>>
